Camping Checklist

Thought this was the best place for this. This is our camping checklist. We made this list because after our first camping trip disaster we needed to get organized. We had camped at Independence Lake in late August forgetting the camp chairs, table, cold weather clothes, firewood, camp stove... well, it was a disaster.

This list was built over many camping trips always making notes of what we had forgot and what we didn't realize we needed. It seems like a lot of stuff (my brother is a pack rat in some respects, I'm more of a minimalist camper). But this all fits in the Jeep and boat. We usually camp where there are minimal to no facilities.

My dad visited last summer and we took him camping for 3 days at Gold Lake. As we were checking off the list he just had to call our step mom that we were "checking off the snake bite kit." :D

Great information, thanks for sharing! I made it a sticky so that it is easy to find before the next camping trip.

Don't forget to turn off the water behind the washing machine , I was just ready to leave one day , standing in the laundry room when the hose from the wall to washing machine burst! Thank god I was still there!

Thanks!

I like the closing house list....nice addition

We added that after we didn't close the refrigerator one trip. :crikey: Thankfully I was only a overnight trip.
