It's on!

Once again, the Hi-Lo's will be hosting our annual Poker Run on the Deer Valley Trail. This is a family event, bring the kids.

You can register online: Hi-Lo's Poker Run

Low quality copy of the flier, but you get the idea:

ZJchucker, it's a one day run. You could drive down stupid early Sat morning, run the trail, enjoy dinner and the raffle and just camp Sat night. Camping Fri & Sat is the typical play, and that's only two nights. Not a long camp trip at all.

Also Registered. I have been looking forward to this one.
its a great run, they do all the cooking and the raffle is substantial. like minded drivers can be grouped into their own sub groups, or you get randomly assigned to group. if u want to hang with the reno rigs, let them know -- under hills angels. They start the run in small groups with timed 20 minute departures so spread out the rigs since ya have to drive on pavement from camp to blue lakes to hit the dirt. about a 40 minute drive. if not, thats ok too.

It's more an issue for my dogs than anything else. Would I be missing out if I didn't camp at all and just did the run?

Register online, arrive early Sat, do the run, stay for dinner, skip the raffle.

Long day but fun and it gets you home without camping.

The socializing Friday/Saturday night and the raffle are what you'd miss.

This looks awesome, I wish I could attend but I already have a big camping trip planned with people.

Is there a place where I can find info on all the trail runs like this? Is there more in the area?

I’m new to the off roading scene, or at least as an adult with a truck that I can have fun with so apologies if I sound clueless

camped this weekend at jamboree with a number of hi low club members and general consensus is the poker run is a GO. The tamarack fire pushed far north and east of the intended trail. Things could change so if it does will update here.

Good to hear this is still a go. I look forward to future Hi Low events once my rig is ready to go.

Although I'm no longer on the Hi-Lo's board, I know there is a special board meeting tonight.

As soon as I hear anything, I'll post up here.

Poker run officially cancelled. This makes two years in a row…. Fires and smoke to blame. Prayers for those affected.

Bark, thanks for getting the word out. I've been away from my computer.

Yes, last night, the Hi-Lo's board voted unanimously to cancel the 2021 Gambler's Poker Run.

Due to the Caldor Fire, the board felt the smoke would be at dangerous levels for our participants.

At this time, we don't plan on rescheduling the event, but we will be back next year to try it all again.

Thank you to all of you that have supported us over the years.
