We used extreme caution and measured 20x to verify all spring mount points and axle spring perch all in line. All hung nice and straight. Street driving no problem. Mild trail ride and this is the reward. Pass side just fine. Thinking when one side goes to compression it’s twisting the spring and the shackle suffers. What do you think? All new hardware. Serious tweak.
I bent a bunch of non braced shackles like that when I had Chevy 63s I braced them with some 1” tubing across and never had an issue. Ymmv but give it shot, bushings are meant to flex. Mine were 3/8” plates with 1” .120 wall tube across.
