My dad has one. It's not a bad rifle, but very expensive for what you get. He got his with a coupon for a Geissele trigger. It took a couple months for that trigger to come in, and he said the stock trigger was horrible! Gritty and heavy. Accuracy wasn't as good as he expected even with the Geissele trigger. Another thing to consider is optics. The Scar 17 has a very heavy bolt and the force of that bolt slamming into battery is more than most optics can take long term (most optics are designed to handle rearward recoil, but not forward recoil from the bolt slamming home). It's not a bad gun, but my dad regrets buying his, as it became very expensive and is just an alright rifle.
