This is my 1997 TJ. Got it pretty much stock in December 2004, the only upgrades it had was a 2" BB lift and 31s. Then I got Rubicon Dana 44s for it, 4" RE/ProComp short arm lift, 35s and some armor.

some progress on my TJ. the front axle is in place, waiting for the controls arms and trackbars to get here (thanks Tony!).

i am planning to pull the rear end out after the front suspension is done.

after that i'll be pulling the gas tank out to replace bad fule filter/pump assy.

then, i'll need to pull the t-case out and replace it with NVG241OR.

then i will measure for the driveshaft and order one.

then i'm going wheeling. :D :thumbs_up

Thanks to Sam for pressing the bearings on my rear shafts, so now the Jeep sits on all 4. :D I still have to put the t-case in and order the driveshafts, and set-up the locker pumps, but I'm getting close.

It's getting there. I rolled it out of the garage for the first time in 3 months. I've got a leak from where the t-case mates to the tranny, so I have to pull it apart again and see what the deal is. But it was sure nice to hit the dirt again.

Did '97 TJ's come with a 32RE tranny? Mine had a TF999.

32RH (I had a typo) and TF999 are the same thing. 32RH is a Chrysler designation for Jeep.

Dennis looks really sweet! Good memories of the black YJ as well! I totally dig the new cage, looks factory and clean!

Dennis, hey, any more info on how you did the oiler on the top of the YORK??? Very interested in finding out, did u use kilby or set something up yourself? Any more pics and details? Very interested. Just rigged up my York saying goodbye to my good ol Sandem compressor (did its job :) )

Thanks,

I sold the Rubicon D44s. Now the plan is to get 85-91 Ford Dana 60 front, shorten it a few inches to take a 78-79 pass. inner shaft. For the rear, I am thinking of building a Spidertrax housing with a TrueHi9 third, but we'll see about that. I might just look for a Dana 70.
